I feel like I’ve been neglecting this blog due to my business coaching and consultancy company, Ignite the Screen, and wonderfully managing to get clients before the site was even launched. Things are going at a nice pace there now although I’m still very busy with it having just put out a brand new free guide which talks about customizing Facebook pages for business. If you’ve got your own business please feel free to download it.

Due to me being busy there have been no fit posts which is a shame but unfortunately they do take up quite a bit of time to compose and I’ve kind of made the decision to pull back from doing them because they took up a lot of time I needed to dedicate to my business.

But I wanted to use this post to answer a question by the beautiful, fashionable business woman  Monif C as well as share with you some ASOS related news.

This is a long post so please don’t speed read.

wpid Roll up Get curl power with the latest miracle hair gadget the O Roll up! Get curl power with the latest miracle hair gadget the OCurl power: The O heated roller system was created behind the people who brought us GHD hair straighteners

The O uses heat induction technology, which harnesses electrical currents and magnetic fields to generate heat inside the roller, without heating the pod, so no burned hands!

Once rolled in your hair, the heat curls strands when the roller and hair cool down, after about ten minutes, indicated by a red spot that goes grey when cool, the curl is set. Different sized rollers, sold separately, allow you to  create many styles.

The O costs £149.95 and the rollers cost from £15.95 for a pack of four.

  • Treatment of the week: This one-stop beauty salon had me party-ready within my lunch hour

Get Groomed: The beauty salon, which is based in Selfridges, offers two therapists so you can have a number of treatments within an hour

The treatment room doubles as a changing room. Walk in, choose your nail polish, disrobe and lie back in a reclining chair.

The expertly trained therapists begin with a synchronised massage (one starts at your head, the other at your toes and they meet in the middle), which did wonders for my aching shoulders.

Next up, the signature Groom facial and eyebrow tidy, while the other therapist buffs your feet into submission. The facial is nothing overly fancy, but mine pepped up my complexion a treat.

By the time it was finished, I looked down to see my toes were a delightful shade of coral. And then, all that remained to be done were my fingernails – and the therapists took one hand each.

Exactly 60 minutes after I had entered the room, I was out of there (though you should allow for an extra ten minutes under the nail driers if you want to ensure your nails are smudge-proof).

    Groom truly is a wonder!

You may have heard of the beautiful Australian plus size model Laura Wells? If not let me give you some inside information that’s not in this interview.

    1. She gives the best hugs. Warm, friendly and totally genuine.
    2. The Asos Curve team love her – and so it would seem do many of the Curvettes that buy from Asos Curve
    3. I nearly didn’t introduce myself to her when she was shooting one day at ASOS HQ. Why? Well, even professionals get star struck and all I could think was *heart pounding* ‘that’s one of my model idols sitting there minding her own business.’ I’m glad I double backed and said hello.

In fact Laura was such a sweetie she emailed me an hour or so after and said how nice it was to meet me and she agreed to do this interview.

It’s been a long time coming because Laura has been jet setting around the world and is currently back in Australia enjoying time with her family as well working her plus size model curves in various fashion shoots.

In this interview Laura Wells and I cover all the bases: – size acceptance, the fashion and size faux pas, her acceptance of herself and many other things.

Sit back and enjoy the girlie chit chat of two very different models with one hope in common – that plus size fashion lives on!
