Why I want Marie Denee to go to the Vienna Life Ball
Share
I know I haven’t really done a proper personal blog for a while. I make no apologies in telling you all that the past few weeks have been emotional as I get ready to launch my new business officially. (It’s not plus-size related – it’s for everyone) Setting up a new business is like moving house. So many emotions come into play. Luckily I have not gone on this journey alone. I’ve had support from some amazing people. That kind of ties into what I’m about to write about.Anyway I’ve been distant I know. The odd Facebook posts, a little twitter banter, but no-where near what I normally do. I just have not had the time.
That said I haven’t been living under a rock. So I know currently my virtual friend Marie Denee (just like another inspirational person Debra Mazda) is reaching out and asking for support. And a little bit of everybody’s time to vote for something they really want and also as a statement that this community can produce ‘star’s that can bridge the gap and relate to any shape or size – ultimately a vote for women and a vote for a damn good reporter.
I really, really want Marie Denee to go to the Vienna Life Ball and cover it for the Huffington Post. I think there has been a lot of talk about why Marie should go. I wanted to bring a more personal element to that. Things I know Marie is too humble to really share.

Please vote for Debra Mazda for Her Own Show on Oprah Now Network
Share
Hi all,I just wanted to pass on a message from my lovely friend Debra Mazda. I’ve talked about Debra in the past for my old blog radio show (be patient for it to start) and even written an article about her for this website.
She’s a lovely person. One, whom I’ll always have time for. Please read her message below and go do your thing by voting for her for her own show on the Oprah Now Network. I think the great thing about Debra Mazda is she’s not about dieting. Through her words I went down two dress sizes because I needed to do that for myself. Some others don’t need/want to and physically feel comfortable being a certain weight. I did not. Back problems and the like were a constant reminder that I was not in shape.
You may not totally agree with Debra’s stance on health or weight, but if you’re open to another idea that is not always comfortable with the plus-size community then please read on. It’s not an attack on anyone who’s fat. But there are people like me who have found that they needed to lose some weight in order to feel good.
Now the irony is I’m in a job as a fit model where I have to stay the same weight. But I won’t be in this job forever. At least I know when I’m out of this job I have the tools that Debra Mazda has given me to lose more weight if I wanted to.
The important thing to remember is I’m still maintaining the weight I lost. No diet – just moving. Talking to Debra Mazda was an inspiration.

So if you have not caught up with what I’m talking about then please read the first two blog posts (in order) above. We’re on a journey here – discovery, goal achieving and growth. We are styling our minds. Get a cuppa – this is a long post! HA!
Everything I’m explaining in these posts will have some meaning to you, maybe not immediately but at some point. I want to ask you a question. When was the last time you told someone how good you were at something?

In the immortal words of Katt Williams, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll wait.’ You see I’d wager the majority of you really have to think long and hard about this.
