Hello Curve Queens!!

I’ve come back terribly excited from ASOS HQ. And I thought I’d tell you all about it. First of all my new hair colour has gone down very well. HA No, nothing about the clothes there, I just feel the need to share my happiness that people like my rusty redness. Its summer  almost, Y’all!!! Time to break out the colour!!

OK, so today we had one supplier in who fitted me two adorable cocktail dresses. I love them both. Both are from main range (although I can’t find them at this moment in time)  so it’s lovely to see them in bigger sizes.

The first one was presented in a cross over two shade (cyan and black) which gathered in beautifully just below the bust. It felt super lovely to wear and I am not ashamed to say I admired my rather curvy bod in the mirror.  Of course the colours could change (as they sometimes do between fit and going on the site) but I don’t believe this garment would work so well if it didn’t have a strong contrasting colour.

The second was a lace affair which when I looked at it I really didn’t like  but THEN I tried it on and oh my – very nice. The detail is lovely around the edges and the neck line is a slight slash neck – which is flattering to any bust.   I was asked what I thought about the length of it, which is above the knee. I said, ‘look us Curvy Gals have gotta show some leg!’ Everyone agreed! YAY!

After the supplier left it all went into a bit of a blur thanks to one garment that will be up on the site in a week or so…DRUMROLL PLEASE… We’re getting Mini Skirts!!! Yes!!!!

Now the last time I wore a Mini  Skirt I was about 7 and I looked like this (see photo)

Granted the Afro wasn’t my best look but cut me some slack! (by the way, in the picture it’s a Ra Ra Skirt. We’re not getting those HA!)

So we do have mini skirts on ASOS Curve, I know, but they are either jersey material or are better for the office. The one I tried on today screams FUN!

I really thought of all things I could do . It’s short and flows out a little bit and the large waist band is really flattering of ones curves.

I do believe they are coming in black and nude. I’ll go for black, coupled with my purple shiny tights, converse trainers, and possibly a vest top coupled with my   blue ASOS shrug. And I must find a killer necklace to go with it.

What about this? (Saw Tash in ASOS HQ wearing this last week and I LOVE it)

I must add the ladies in fit were rather bemused by my excitement but here’s the thing; when you’re larger than average you are given to believe you will never look good in something short or something revealing, but aren’t we finding ladies that ASOS CURVE puts a very polite finger up at the naysayers and says, ‘If you love it – wear it!’.

So that was short and sweet but there’s lots more to chat about on the new ‘I Love ASOS CURVE Club‘ See pictures from ASOS Curve lovers as well as reviews and links to our site favourites. It’s free to join and super friendly. I set it up independently for fans of the range. We’d love to see you there!
