Today I went and did a demo make-over with the shop owner at the boutique I was telling you about in my post yesterday. It went very well indeed. A few ladies came into the boutique while I was doing the make over and said they loved the idea and would definitely book!  Interesting as well one lady came in after I’d done the shop owner’s make-up and said, ‘Oh my goodness you look fantastic!’ To which the shop owner replied, ‘Yes this is Vanessa, she’s a make-up artist and she’s just given me a make-over and mini facial.’  More leaflets handed out!

This is how women should network!

I feel like I haven’t really done a personal post in about a week. I don’t count posting new gigs a personal post although this one stems from getting out there and pavement stomping in order to realise my goals.

My interview with the Northampton Chronicle appeared last Saturday and thank you so much to 100perecentpeople.com for their involvement also and for helping with getting a copy.
You will need to click on each picture to actually read it. (once opened in a new window hover your mouse over and click to make the image larger)

In it I contribute to the discussion of having a more balanced view of being fuller figured, acceptance of fuller figured women in mainstream fashion and the effects of seeing slimmer women represent fashion and positivity on and on going basis.

They are awards from people I dig and they are awards from very different elements of the plus-size world. These two things make them very important to me as a person.

The fact that I got two awards – totally by surprise in one weekend could be considered a fluke. But I don’t. Here’s why:
