The spring season: Make-up, Beauty, Fashion Accessories! Colours!

Spring 2010 seems very far away to some but in the fashion world things are already making their mark in stores. And when it comes to accessories and make-up I’m your Gal as I’ve been lucky enough to see exclusives from top beauty houses such as Dior, Lancome, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Not to mention some killer handbags from DKNY and Moshino.

DKNY Pink Bag from £95.00

Moschino Red Bowling bag £99.00

Do not worry if the price tag doesn’t fit your budget, as you can find many cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
And yes, black is still in – does it ever go out of fashion? :P

Every girl needs to know that colour is very much in, however where make-up is concerned we’ve moved from the smokiness of winter to the softer shades of orange, pink and purple delivered in a pearl finish. But don’t throw the purple you bought or were given at Christmas because various shades of purple and mauve have been featured heavily in many cosmetic houses as a key colour this season.

And both Chanel, YSL and Clinique have new products that will give you the soft and flawless look that will enhance that post party season skin and prepare it for the summer where bronzer, mascara and lip gloss will be your essentials.

Teintresist from YSL looks fabulous!

It’s a long lasting, transfer resistant foundation which gives the skin a healthy glow and suitable for normal, combination or oily skins.

Add to this their range of amazing eye shadows and lipsticks and you won’t fail to get the perfect look.

Dior are launching ONE Essential which is part of their Capture Total range. I have worked for Dior in the past so I know how much money, time and effort goes into their products – make no mistake Dior are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to deluxe skin care.

This product claims to free skin of toxins while repairing the skin and can be used under any moisturising product regardless of skin type!

I’m hoping to try this product out in the next week or so. can’t wait.

I also want to let you know that I’m not completely giving up on my glitter eyeshadows as I’ve found a range that has a little glow but not too over the top it can’t be worn softly in this seasons colours. Barry M has some fantastic loose powder eyeshadows as well as long lasting creamy lip glosses. The picture here shows me wearing Barry M (blended were gold, orange, lime green and deep purple/black in the outer corners) as well as my favourite powder/foundation from Benefit called ‘Hello Flawless’. The trick with this season is to blend, blend, blend with the eyes so colours work effortlessly but still give definition. You can add a little more va-va-voom for evening.

On my lips I kept it quite nude as you can see.

Are you co-ordinating your look?

If like me you have to go to work dressed in black you may feel you can’t do much to welcome spring to your look but fear not. I’ve been seeking out bangles, scarves, necklaces and hair clips in the sales so I can show this seasons colours in other ways. Thankfully pinks and purples are still in so you shouldn’t have too much of a job finding something.

The cute hair clip I’m wearing in this picture comes in a range of colours (salmon pink, aqua blue, mauve, cyan). Four clips sold on one holder. Bargain!

if you’re still stuck on what to spend your Christmas money on then head to beauty or fashion accessories in your local area and get some great must haves that will see you step into spring with a POW!

Most of all enjoy being a girlie because when the winter blues get you down the best advice I can give is to clear your wardrobe get some new make-up and fashion accessories and play, play, play!
